Rainy Day Cheer at the 2018 Kennett Winterfest
Saturday was a gray, wet day, but the festival spirit was warm and cheery at the 2018 Kennett Winterfest! Despite years of rain, snow, and freezing temperatures, the Kennett Winterfest is always a good time. Here are just a few reasons why!
Interesting brews: Of course, the beer! I tried 3 unexpected fruity beers, and the most interesting one was the Concord Grape Gose from Southern Tier.
Good company: We had family and friends at our house before and after the festival, and for some, it’s an annual tradition! I love that Kennett Square has events that make for great reasons to get together and have fun.
Staying dry: The good folks at Historic Kennett Square rigged up gigantic tents for the event that kept everyone dry and warm. Thank you, volunteers! I also think the tents helped keep things cozy, and there’s a sense of camaraderie at the festival whenever there’s inclement weather. We are in it together!
Local flavor: Local breweries, local-inspired beer, local live music, and local food trucks mean a festive atmosphere unique to Kennett Square! The Winterfest is so welcoming and well-run. Awesome job, event organizers!
My husband and I have been to every Winterfest since its inception, so this year makes 6 straight festivals! We will be there next year for #7, and we hope to see you there, too! Cheers!
Thanks to Historic Kennett for providing tickets for my husband and me! All opinions are my own, but let’s face it, I would have gone and had fun on my own anyway!
