Brandywine Backyard BBQ Festival
Proceeds from this nonprofit community event benefited the Chester County Council Boy Scouts of America Friends of Scouting campaign which covers registration fees, uniforms, camps, and leadership training for financially disadvantaged youth in our area. Ursuline Academy offers Mandarin Chinese classes to Middle School students. The goal of the curriculum is to teach students Chinese language, history, and culture. This course is intended to introduce basic vocabulary used in daily conversations. Students learn to read and write simplified Chinese, as well as how to use vocabulary to build simple conversations. Lessons containing culture and history aided by various projects and activities provide students the opportunity to explore Chinese festivals, arts, and food.
