    The Safe Sale

Going above and beyond for clients and community isn’t new to the Matt Fetick Team, a real estate group in the Brandywine Valley. When mandatory COVID-19 lockdowns shut down real estate in Pennsylvania, the team began to problem-solve. They launched The Home Project, MFT Cares, and MFT Saves to help support their community’s needs in a time of crisis. But they also wanted to implement a way to make selling homes possible in a post-COVID world.

    Their solution: The Safe Sale.

“The Safe Sale program is about using the technology we already had pre-COVID and employing it and using it in ways we haven’t had to use before. We were able to use tools and resources in a different way. People were able to interact without risking health and safety,” said Matt Fetick.

With The Safe Sale, the buyer has access to more online tools than ever before – not having to step foot in the home until they’re ready to make a decision.

Matt explained, “We are investing more marketing dollars, and more resources to have interactive floor plans, interactive photos, and interactive video so that a buyer can do more research at home and only physically have to go out to see the homes that really pique their interest.”

For example, if a buyer requests additional information or has a specific question, the sellers can walk them through the home utilizing Face Time. Typically, the sellers wouldn’t be as engaged in the process, but with this virtual opportunity, it helps alleviate any anxieties the seller might have about additional people in their home.

“What we’re seeing is people are taking advantage of our online tools, only having to go out to see [a house] when they are really interested, saving the number of showings, the number of people in the house, and then because the market happens to be strong at the moment, people are moving very quickly to make offers,” Matt continued.

MFT is dedicated to following social distance guidelines, permitting only the decision-makers to physically tour the house, requiring masks and hand sanitizer upon entry. They are also encouraging sellers to open doors and leave lights turned on to limit the number of touchpoints.

MFT has always been invested in helping their clients safely sell and buy homes, but even more so now, while navigating a post-COVID world where health and safety are of the utmost importance. And they will continue to do so to the best of their ability to serve the Brandywine Valley.
