Employee Spotlight: Keely W. Griffin
Keely is the newly appointed Supervisor at Kuzo Funeral Home. She is a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer who joined the firm in 2017. She attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science, as well as Point Park University, where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Mortuary Science. While Keely greatly enjoys preparation work and having the opportunity to exercise her artistic skillset, it is her intrinsic compassion that has allowed the Kennett Square community to so effortlessly connect with her.
Keely’s fresh take on funeral service centers around the understanding that every loss is unique, and emphasizes the needs of the individual when enduring the death of a loved one. Whether that means rolling a motorcycle into the building for the loss of a motorcycle club member, coordinating an airplane to fly over attendees at a funeral for a pilot, or filling a room with service dogs for a lifelong volunteer—there is little she would not do to create a meaningful moment for a family.
Keely and her fellow directors, Mark Oellig and Curtis Greer, along with office managers, Maribeth Fasano and Mychal Brown, support the community as a team who has invested their hearts and souls into caring for their neighbors and those they have lost.
